WHITE METAL

Sn/Sb/Cu-based alloy; the most requested white metal alloys are:

MB 83 (Sn 83 / Sb 11 / Cu 6) UNI 4515 — For high speeds and high pressures, for parts subject to dynamic stresses (e.g. motor or electric locomotives, alternators).

MB 85 (Sn 85 / Sb 8 / Cu 7) UNI 4515 — For high speeds and relatively high pressures, for heavily loaded bearings, in overheated environments and for parts subject to strong stresses (e.g. car bearings, medium and large oil and diesel engines, marine turbines, alternators).

MB 87.5 (Sn 87.5 / Sb 8 / Cu 3.5 / Cd 1.1) UNI 4515 — For high speeds and relatively high pressures, for bearings used at high load, in overheated environments and parts subject to strong stresses (e.g. machinery bearings).

MB 90 (Sn 90 / Sb 6.5 / Cu 3.5) UNI 4515 — For very high speeds and high pressures in overheating conditions (e.g. high-speed oil engines, fast diesel engines, turbines, dynamos, converters).

White metal blocks in MCP58 alloy.
